The Minnesota Junior PGA - This is a very large state-wide junior program in Minnesota.
The program consists of two levels of tournaments, a junior golf academy, a college golf seminar,
a clubs-for-Kids program, a bi-monthly newsletter, a junior championship for ages 17 & under,
a junior championship for ages 11 & under, an end-of-the year Player's Cup Invitational tournament,
and awards. The two levels of junior tournaments are the Junior Tour (ages 8-19 with some playing experience) and the Players' Tour (ages 12-19, top players only invited to participate). Ages: 8-19
The Minnesota Golf Association - The MGA conducts weekly golf competitions leading up to the
annual Minnesota Junior Golf Championship. Junior golfers must qualify to play in the championship.
The MGA also conducts the Minnesota/Manitoba Cup team competition. Ages: 18 & Under

The Minnesota Public Golf Association - The MPGA sponsors a junior championship every summer.

The Minnesota Women's Golf Association - The MWGA conducts the state girls junior championship
every summer. This is a two-day event that is a highlight of any girl's summer golf plans.

The Minnesota Women's Public Golf Association - Established in 1947 and incorporated in 1994, the Minnesota Women's Public Golf Association (MWPGA) was organized to serve the needs and interests of the state's women public golfers. Public courses in this case are defined as any course offering playing privileges to the general public on a daily fee basis. The MWPGA currently has over 75 member leagues representing over 6,000 women from courses in Minnesota.
MYAS/AAU Junior Golf - A Minnesota summer golf tournament series featuring flights for boys and girls
(8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 16 & under and 19 & under) with all age divisions
determined by the player's age as of June 1. Players who graduate this spring are still eligible to

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has served as the national governing body of golf for the U.S., its territories and Mexico since its formation in 1894. It's a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers. The Association sponsors a variety of programs that benefit everyone who plays the game, from conducting 13 national championships each year, to writing and interpreting the Rules of Golf, to funding turf grass and course maintenance practices, to supporting grassroots programs through its “For the Good of the Game” initiative.
